National Science Day (NSD)
The Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) is celebrating “National Science Day (NSD)” first time on January 29, 2021. NSD will be a permanent feature of PAS activities for all time to come. The idea is to popularize science in Pakistan through lectures and seminars from the platform of PAS. In the future, the activity will be further strengthened by arranging a conference for the mass outreach to the general public, the students, and the policymakers. The date was proposed to coincide with the date of birth of Dr. Abdus Salam the only Nobel Laureate (so far) in recognition of his tremendous contributions to the development of scientific culture in the country.
