Launching of the “General Agricultural Research Policy Document of Pakistan” on 26 September, 2023

Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), Islamabad is organizing the Launching of “General Agricultural Research Policy Document of Pakistan” authored by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (Fellow Pakistan Academy of Sciences & Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad) and  Prof. Dr. Faqir Muhammad Anjum (Fellow Pakistan Academy of Sciences & Former Vice Chancellor, University of Gambia) at the Auditorium of the Academy (3-Constitution Avenue, Sector G-5/2, Islamabad) on 26 September, 2023 (Tuesday) from 04 pm – 05 pm. This policy document has been compiled at the platform of the “Scientific Advice to Government Unit/Policy Unit” recently created at the Academy under the framework of PSDP Project awarded by the Planning Commission (GoP) in the year 2020. This document is also a step forward towards Policy Dialogue on “Agriculture Policy and Strategy for Green Revolution 2.0” held at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives (M/o PD&SI) during May 2023.

The Honourable Caretaker Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Prof. Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik (H.I., S.I., T.I) has very kindly consented to inaugurate the subject Policy Document Ceremony. The tentative programme of the event is follows:
